Buffalo Bills Williams Thank you for the memories shirt I was 69 when my first grandchild was born. She is now 4 and there is a now second granddaughter who is 7 months. I am really enjoying my time with my granddaughters but it is bittersweet to some extent because I know that I will only be around for the earliest part of their lives. I can only hope they will have some memory of me. (I have no memory of any of my grandparents.) I just turned 60, surrounded by my seven young grandchildren. Of course, I will predecease them, but I choose to be loving and grateful for every minute of this stage of life. I’ve lost several friends who did not live long enough to know their grandchildren. I want them to have warm, loving memories of their Mimi forever. I found your article to be a depressing viewpoint!
