Minnahil Khan Health professionals are attacked and abused all the time. As a nurse, I know nothing I see nothing I hear nothing shirt I was slapped, kicked, pushed against a wall with an aggressive man's hands round my throat and had various things thrown at me including a heavy chair. It has been known for nurses to be stabbed and almost killed by aggressive patients or drunk relatives. You nailed it. As a nurse, I have worked many double shifts, dragged my body home and took care of my family and home. In down economic times for my husband, I was able to put food on the table and pay the utilities, attend school functions, keep myself clean and hopefully attractive even in sweats and a pony tail. I am not sure where this gentleman gets his observations wrong, but they are wrong. Women have secured the world for eons of time.
Minnahil Khan my cousin’s a female lorry driver & women builders do exist! There are many women who can’t do heavy laboring jobs but what about women who’ve got into the army on their own merit? Female firefighters do their jobs well or they wouldn’t have a job. Just because there are women who can’t do heavy jobs doesn’t mean those who are perfectly capable shouldn’t do it or be paid at the same rate when they’ve earned their place.
