Yeah, ours hasn't being going to china for awhile now. The government is looking at other ways. Labyrinth door knockers No good can’t hear you shirt It can be recycled in so many ways but Australia has not stepped up to building manufacturing for this purpose. Sweden creates electricity by burning all their rubbish with special filters for clean air and buries the filters in the ground. We could do this, there are plenty of old quarries to fill in.
There needs to be a tax applied to plastic packaging manufacturers. Make the plastic items more expensive to buy so companies needing packaging will use less. Making them think of new ways to package their products creating less waste. Use the tax to fund new ways to recycle the plastic in the country of use not shipping elsewhere. It’s a scandal that we send our plastic off in good faith each week for it to end up in a landfill or worse, the sea!
