Debra Forde, I wear teal and purple for someone I miss every single day suicide prevention awareness shirt I live here in Canada and I feel the situation is more or less similar. The country does offer benefits but because they are given for so many things and people, and plus there are people who cheat the system and receive benefits; every person who gets some payment is so small that is not enough to survive if one is in a similar situation. Emily Weldon, I have one child who I am a carer for as well as mum. I understand exactly how difficult it is to get help. Have you requested a parent carer assessment.? I have had to contact my MP just to be heard. It is exhausting and I only have one child. Absolutely heartbreaking. Yes, the boy does an amazing job, but it's one he shouldn't have. Of course, kids take this responsibility, they love their parents, but it's unhealthy for them and in my opinion (emotional) child abuse. It's so sad to hear, that there are so many young carers. Being able to be a child is a human right that's violated here.
